To say it was cold is an understatement. Pouring rain and between 3-6 degrees made it a chilling experience. Frozen to the bone - could not feel my legs below the knees half of the race... BUT what a feeling coming down to the Håkonshall arena and crossing the finish line!!! Took 1 hour with 28 degrees on the car heater and seat heater on 5 (!) before I got core temperature back...

Just to illustrate how cold it was - I had 68 Kpm top speed down from the moutain, that is 18.6 m/s (= fresh gale) . According to this table with 5 degrees, the wind chill factor would be equal to -11 degrees !!!

Well, it's 40+40 in case anyone are uncertain...;-) Very nice garden party and amazing luck with the weather - the only day without heavy rain that week! The girls performed a song with self-composed very fitting lyrics (based on "Alley Cat" - or for Norwegians better known as "Katta vår" with Wenche Myhre). Finally...this seasons first Powder Magazine came in the mail today...winter is coming! Hope it will dump massive amounts of the white stuff this season - at least in the moutains! Seems there are a lot of rocker skiis this season, so might need to dump my GRINDED TO DEATH BY TORSHOV SPORT Pro riders. Kid you not - we gave explicit instructions and it was the FIRST TIME they where grinded and they messed it up - almost no sole left...thanks a lot! Stay away from Torshov sport if you want to keep your skiis longer than one season...and have a look in the new number of Powder magazine for new boards! :-D

I have to admit, not many liked Kraftwerk when I was young. But I kept at it and still listen now and then...they where way ahead of everyone and really made history!
