It had not snowed in 30+ days and it was very warm in the city - but the beatuy of Chamonix is that even if we did not get the same bottom less powder as last year, it still has plenty to offer. We found good snow (powderish 15-20 cm worth) and steep couloris...and a lot of good company! Check out the pictures form this years trip (and yes - similar to the last 10+ trips ;-)

Finally...this seasons first Powder Magazine came in the mail today...winter is coming! Hope it will dump massive amounts of the white stuff this season - at least in the moutains! Seems there are a lot of rocker skiis this season, so might need to dump my GRINDED TO DEATH BY TORSHOV SPORT Pro riders. Kid you not - we gave explicit instructions and it was the FIRST TIME they where grinded and they messed it up - almost no sole left...thanks a lot! Stay away from Torshov sport if you want to keep your skiis longer than one season...and have a look in the new number of Powder magazine for new boards! :-D

One week of POW-WOW in Chamonix...got to be the best ski trip ever if not for Rune's mishap slipping on the ice (in town) mid-week twisting his knee and ruining his last ski days!
A LOT of snow and cold temperatures ensured fresh powder all week...rounded of with an epic heli-ski in Courmayeur...not a single track on both decent! Some pics below (click for larger) - link to all pics can be found here

It's been an awesome season so far..sorry for not sharing pics :-P Here is at least one (we are busy shredding, no time for pics). In training for our annual Chamonix trip!
